What happens if a guest damages my property?

If you’re signed up to the Booking Wiz tier, we’ve partnered with SuperHog to make sure you’re insurance backed up to $1M in damages. Within your SuperHog portal, you’ll be able to easily submit an incident report. Please do so within 24 hours of incident or discovery of incident and no more than 10 days from the end of the booking in question. 

Can I take deposits & do ID checks without signing up for booking wiz?

Yes! Deposits and ID checks are not dependent on the Booking Wiz tier. Once the guest books, they will receive a link to check in which includes the verification steps.

How can I make more money with Checked.In?

By adding upsells and add-ons! These don’t always have to be goods and services, but can include fees, such as: pet fee, early/late check in fees, extra people fees, and electric car charging fees. 

The following have been popular with our clients for increasing their revenue: party set up, private chefs, s'mores kits, chilled champagne, saunas, hot tubs, pre-arrival grocery shop, bike or kayak rental, branded merch, and local coffee or other goods!

How do cancellations work?

You get to set your own cancellation policy! We don’t want to lock you into anything that doesn’t work for your rental or location, so set a policy that works best for you.

How do I get the payouts from my upsells?

To calculate your payout, here is how it works if you’re the listing owner: 

Nightly rate + your optional extra charges - Host service fee = Payout.

How is Host Fee Calculated? 

The host service fee is calculated by multiplying the total booking amount by a percentage then is automatically subtracted from your payout. In addition to the cost of your listing, guests will pay a service fee to Checked.In, so your guest’s total price will be higher than your payout. 

Payouts will be processed and handled through Stripe.

Does Checked In track my earnings?

Yes! Checked.In keeps track of your earnings and lets you designate a time period of earnings you want to see, making it easy to keep track and download information for tax purposes and personal records.
